KAYPRI – Actor/Writer/Producer/Priscilla Belle Productions

A graduate of Howard University’s Drama program in Acting, Kaypri has worked as a teaching artist and substitute teacher with adolescent populations for over a decade in the New Jersey suburbs, the Bedstuy section of Brooklyn , Winston-Salem, North Carolina and the Watts section of Los Angeles with foster kid advocacy organization, Peace4Kids ( .

In 2009-2010 she worked as a museum docent in Los Angeles for Tavis Smiley’s America I Am exhibit and continued to work as a docent and gallery educator until 2012.  She completed the first draft of her mother’s book in June 2012 and is proud to to share her mother’s story with the world.

Kaypri is also a playwright, poet, songwriter, screenwriter, and story doctor for all genres.

She has also appeared in several independent and short films as well as off- Broadway.

Kaypri has produced and performed her two autobiographical coming of age solo plays, BABYGIRL the coming of age sitcom/drama of a media-codependa-lova-holic and THE GOOD DAUGHTER & The Do Gooder 

In both pieces she portrays several characters including her late mother who she is forever grateful for.

Current projects under Priscilla Belle Productions include adapting her solo plays into book form and a IT AIN’T NO JOKE a caregiver self-help for the hip hop generation. In addition, she is workign on a screenplay about ACoA’s, an update on Beah Richard’s A Black Woman Speaks, and a multi-character play about Saturn’s Return 4ever27.
